Learn about ABB’s protection relays, applications and communication through new webinars

2014-04-08 - COMING UP – The new webinars provide an opportunity to learn firsthand from our world-class experts about ABB’s protection relays and applications for power distribution systems - in real time and interactively.

ABB’s recent initiative to introduce web-based seminars, i.e. webinars, provides education on two main topics, one being protection relays and the other protection relay applications and communication. The experts from the ABB Medium Voltage Products, Distribution Automation factory in Vaasa, Finland, conduct the presentations.

Get ready – the protection relay webinars are around the corner

Protection relay webinars will spread the understanding of how to take full advantage of the product functionality, in particular regarding the latest novelties. The webinar sessions primarily cover Relion® protection and control products for medium voltage networks, as well as related solutions and life-cycle services.

The upcoming protection relay webinars, focusing on value-based product benefits, will cover Relion 615 series, Relion 620 series and Grid Automation Controller COM600.

Get set – webinars on protection relay applications and communication are about to become a hit!

Another branch of the seminars will focus on protection relay applications and communications, introducing the communication principles and demonstrating the best pick of real-life examples.

For example, the IEC 61850 webinar, piloted in March 2014, introduces the latest value-added product functionality such as support for redundant PRP and HSR substation communications, as well as demonstrates horizontal GOOSE communication. The next webinars will target Line Differential protection applications and Differential protection for Power Transformers.

Go! All you need is your laptop, headset and access to Internet

Get trained by the world’s leading relay experts and try out a webinar! Regardless of the geographical distances, you are able to enjoy a direct learning experience at your own premises – only remember to pre-register online and make sure that you are properly equipped with a laptop, headset and access to Internet.

The upcoming launch of the web page, giving further details on the webinars, a yearly schedule of the upcoming webinars and pre-registration, will be launch in due time. Meanwhile, please contact ABB Program Manager Akli Talmat for more information.
